City-University Synergy: Workshops

Office of International Education of Lublin University of Technology, would like to invite you to participate in a two day workshop dedicated to City-University synergy. The event is coorganised in cooperation with the City of Lublin and the Association of the Universities of Lublin.

Programme:

• Workshops on best practices in city-university cooperation

The project "Urban Lab Lublin - City for the Youth" was developed owing to the identified needs of young Lublin residents, in respect to the challenges evoked by contemporary social, educational and professional background. Urban Lab will be a space for dialogue and a joint search for solutions to key problems faced by young Lubliners, as well as a space for civic education and the development of social and professional skills. The project assumes that Urban Laboratory will focus on participatory activities engaging youth in decision-making processes regarding the city. Urban Lab Lublin will become a space for testing and carrying out innovative solutions that aim to strengthen the role of young people in the city and improve their life quality.

Baobab is a space of a former bank. But it underwent a gigantic change. You will get to know about its history and current purpose.

This impressive building consists of the main, over 350 square meters, bright and spacious hall, which we call the Welcome Room. Here's what you can find there:

• A space to rest, drink water, coffee or tea;
• Multicultural Library;
• Community Centre - a group of people providing daily assistance to refugees;
• An open stage inviting you to organize talks, meetings or concerts;
• Children's Corner;
• Networking with representatives of Lublin Universities and the City
