Lublin is a lively city with a rich history, diverse cultural life and plenty of green spaces. For students, the city offers many opportunities to explore, relax, learn something new and spend time with friends.

The following list presents some of the most interesting places to visit in Lublin, divided into indoor and outdoor activities. 

Indoor activities: 

Centrum Spotkania Kultur (CSK) 
A modern cultural centre with theatres, exhibitions, concerts, films and events. The building itself is worth exploring, including its rooftop terraces. 

Centrum Kultury w Lublinie
One of Lublin's important cultural institutions, offering theatre, cinema, workshops, exhibitions, concerts and other cultural activities. 

Lublin Castle
One of Lublin's most recognisable landmarks. The castle houses the National Museum and the famous Holy Trinity Chapel, with its medieval Ruthenian-Byzantine frescoes. 

Opera Lubelska
Lublin's opera and theatre venue, offering opera, ballet, musical and other performances.

Lublin Underground Route
An underground tourist route beneath the Old Town, showing parts of the city's history and development. 

Regional Cebularz Museum
An interactive museum dedicated to cebularz, Lublin's famous regional onion and poppy seed bread.

 

Outdoor activities: 

Saski garden
One of the oldest and most popular parks in Lublin, located close to the city centre.

Ludowy Park
The park has walking and cycling paths, open spaces and areas for recreation. It is a good place for outdoor activities, relaxing, having a picnic or enjoying nature close to the city centre.

Zalew Zemborzycki
Lublin's main recreational reservoir, around 10 km from the city centre. It offers beaches, cycling routes, kayaking, water sports and places to relax. 

Muzeum Wsi Lubelskiej (Open Air Museum)
A large open-air ethnographic museum presenting traditional villages, wooden houses, churches, windmills and rural life from the Lublin region. 

Państwowe Muzeum na Majdanku
A memorial museum on the site of the former Nazi concentration and extermination camp. The visit combines indoor exhibitions with a large outdoor historical site. Admission to the museum and exhibitions is free. 

UMCS Botanical Garden
A large green space with a wide variety of plants and walking paths. It is a good place for a relaxing afternoon outdoors.
