Invitation to the field workshop „Green and Blue Technologies in Water Protection”

Dear Sir or Madam,

We warmly invite staff members and PhD students of the partner universities of the project AIM – Attracting International Minds. Lublin NAWA-EURAXESS Network (BPI/EUR/2024/2/00001) to participate in the field workshop from the series “Academic Walks with the Nature of Poland.”

Location: Zwierzyniec, Roztocze National Park

About the workshop:

Participants will explore the concept of green and blue technologies and their practical applications in natural environments.

Workshop objectives:

• enhance knowledge and competencies in modern water protection methods,
• present Nature-Based Solutions and best practices,
• introduce water retention, treatment, and management methods,
• present technologies for water quality monitoring and stormwater management,
• promote inter-university cooperation in climate change adaptation.

The workshop will contribute to raising environmental awareness and developing practical recommendations for implementation.

Workshop programme:

08:00–10:00 – Transfer from Lublin to Zwierzyniec

10:00–11:00 – Welcome and introductory lecture

11:00–14:00 – Presentation of technologies in Roztocze National Park (including stormwater management systems and constructed wetlands; discussion of water protection issues based on the Echo Ponds and the Świerszcz River)

14:00–16:00 – Campfire and networking

16:00–18:00 – Return to Lublin

Staff members and PhD students affiliated with one of the following partner universities are invited to participate:

If you would like to participate in the workshop, please complete the registration form by 22^nd April 2026.

The workshop aims to combine the promotion of environmental knowledge with intercultural integration. Therefore, the number of participants is limited to approximately 20 people, including at least 10 international participants.

The organisers will ensure a balanced selection process, allowing representation from all partner institutions.
