On 17–18 June 2026, delegation from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – Dr eng. Paweł Magryta, Dr eng. Grzegorz Barański and Dr eng. Konrad Pietrykowski – visited Technische Universität Ilmenau, Germany. The visit was organised within Erasmus+ programme.
The programme included lectures on Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and recent developments in the field, meetings with researchers, and visits to the university’s research laboratories. Participants also explored modern research facilities dedicated to fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and vehicle engineering.
The LUT delegation presented the university’s activities, as well as research and development projects carried out by the Department of Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Aeronautical Propulsion. The meetings provided an excellent opportunity to exchange expertise and discuss prospects for further scientific collaboration between the two institutions.
Such activities contribute to strengthening international academic cooperation, fostering knowledge exchange and creating opportunities for future joint research and educational initiatives.
