Representatives of the Department of Monument Conservation at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the Lublin University of Technology participated in the international seminar "Challenges and Transitions in Architecture – Erasmus+ for Tomorrow’s European Architects," which took place from June 1–4, 2026, in Paris. The event was organized by Agence Erasmus+ France / Éducation Formation in collaboration with the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris-Belleville (ENSA Paris-Belleville) and the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris-Malaquais – PSL.
The Department of Monument Conservation at the Lublin University of Technology was among the Polish representatives selected in a competition by the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme – the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE). Participation in the event was an honor for the university and confirmed its active role in European academic cooperation.
The seminar was attended by 57 academic representatives from 18 European countries. The program included conferences, workshops, and study visits addressing the challenges of climate change, sustainable urban development, territorial resilience, and the future of architectural education.
Lublin University of Technology was particularly honored to present the international project "Inclusive Access," implemented jointly with partners from Spain, Ukraine, and Italy. The project was presented at the European forum as an example of good practice within the Erasmus+ program.
The project aims to promote more inclusive and accessible urban spaces that meet the needs of all users, regardless of age, ability, or functional limitations. The project focuses on universal design, architectural accessibility, and the creation of cities that foster social integration. Through international collaboration, the partners developed solutions and recommendations supporting the development of a more welcoming and accessible built environment.
The presentation of the project results generated significant interest from seminar participants and representatives of national Erasmus+ agencies, confirming the high quality of the activities implemented by Lublin University of Technology and its international partners.
The participation of representatives of the Department of Monument Conservation in the event also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences with experts and representatives of European schools of architecture and to promote the achievements of Lublin University of Technology internationally.
Presence of Lublin University of Technology at the prestigious forum organized by the French Erasmus+ Agency confirms the university's strong position in the European educational landscape and its commitment to developing innovative solutions that address contemporary social and urban challenges.
