1. When will the courses start?
The semester starts on 1 October. Depending on your individual schedule, your classes will begin during the first or second week of October.

2. When will our course schedules be announced?
You will receive information about your schedule from your Erasmus coordinator at LUT. You will also learn more about your courses during faculty meetings, which will be announced soon.

3. Do we have classes over the weekend?
No. Classes are scheduled from Monday to Friday.

4. Is there a risk that class schedules might overlap?
In general, no. However, schedule conflicts may occur if you have selected courses from different faculties.

5. Do we make the schedule ourselves, or will it already be prepared for us?
Your schedule will be arranged based on the courses you have selected in your Learning Agreement.

6. During classes, are we only with Erasmus students, or do we study together with local students as well?
It depends on the course. Some classes may include both Erasmus+ students and local students.

7. How long does each class session usually last, especially lectures, tutorials and labs?
Classes usually last two 45-minute periods (2 × 45 minutes).

There are two types of cards you may hear about: the student ID card and the ESNcard.The student ID card is issued by your faculty’s Dean’s Office. It entitles you to various student discounts, including discounts on public transport, train travel, museums and other services. The ESN card is a membership card of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). It provides access to various discounts and benefits offered by ESN partners.

2. Is the ESNcard necessary for Erasmus+ students?
No, the ESNcard is optional.

3. Where can I get my student ID card?
Your student ID card can be collected from your faculty’s Dean’s Office.

4. Can I get my PESEL number before 1 October?
You can apply for a PESEL number at any time. More information is available here: Residence registration / Office of International Education

1. Is there a restaurant on campus?

2. Does the university have a dress code?
The university does not have a strict dress code. However, students are expected to wear appropriate clothing that is not overly revealing. In Poland, it is also common for students to dress more formally for exams, especially for important or final examinations.

3. Are there any free car parks available on campus?
Yes.

1. Does the university have its own gym and when is it open?
Yes. Erasmus+ students can use the university gym free of charge every Thursday from 17:00 to 18:30, starting from 8 October.

2. Where can I find information about the sports and physical activities offered by the university?

1. If I enrolled in the Buddy Programme but did not reply to the confirmation email on time, can I still get a buddy?
No. If you did not confirm your participation within the specified deadline, you cannot be assigned a buddy.

2. How do I know if I have been assigned a buddy?
All students who have been assigned a buddy receive a confirmation email.

1. If I want to stay for the second semester, what do I need to do?
If you would like to extend your Erasmus+ stay for the second semester, please contact your home university coordinator, your coordinator at LUT and the Office of International Education (OIE) at LUT.

2. Can I extend my stay for another semester if I am not an EU citizen?
Yes, it is possible to extend your stay. You should contact your home university coordinator, your coordinator at LUT and the Office of International Education (OIE) at LUT to discuss the procedure and requirements. Please note that if you extend your stay for an additional semester you will not receive an Erasmus+ scholarship from LUT.

1. Is Warsaw easily accessible by train?
Yes. Warsaw is approximately 2 hours away from Lublin.

2. Is it easy to get to the university from Warsaw Chopin Airport by bus?

3. Are all payments made in Polish złoty (PLN)?
Polish złoty (PLN) is the official currency in Poland. However, card and contactless payments are widely accepted.

4. Are there any holidays during the semester before the Christmas break?
Yes. Please check the Academic Calendar for 2026–2027 for information about holidays and days off.

5. Which bank would you recommend?
There are many options available. Many international students choose to use Revolut for everyday payments.

6. Is it mandatory to get a PESEL number when we arrive?

7. Should we arrive in Lublin before 1 October?
We recommend arriving before 1 October to allow enough time to settle in, complete the necessary formalities and prepare for the start of classes.

8. Can I have a part-time job while studying?
This depends on your documents. If you are legally allowed to work in Poland, you may take up part-time employment. However, please remember that the main purpose of your Erasmus+ exchange is your studies.

9. Will I receive a certificate confirming that I studied at Lublin University of Technology as an Erasmus+ student?
Yes. You will receive documentation confirming your Erasmus+ studies at Lublin University of Technology at the end of your exchange.

10. How will I receive our Erasmus+ scholarships?
